I am having trouble placing my order.
From time to time server issues overseas means that you might get an 'untrusted SSL certificate' message or have trouble with your shopping cart. If this happens, it is temporary and/or device-specific. Please feel free to email me your order on gingermint@outlook.co.nz and I will send you a PayPal invoice, making it quick and easy to order this way. How long has Ginger Mint been in business?
I have been making and selling buttons under the Buttons by Benji label since 2010. By the end of 2014 I had sold over 15,000 buttons in New Zealand and around the world. In November 2014 Ginger Mint was launched for all of my other (non button) products.
How big is the 50c piece?
The New Zealand 50c piece that features in many photos as a size marker is 2.5cm wide (a smidge smaller than 1").
How long before you ship my order?
***Currently on summer break from 16 December 2019. Orders may still be placed, but will not be dispatched until mid January 2020***
October - January - This is my busiest time of year and orders may take up to ten working days before dispatch. Please order as early as possible to ensure delivery by the required date.
February - September most orders ship within 2 - 3 days and all orders ship within 5 business days, unless I advise otherwise at the time of your order.
Can you post internationally?
Yes, I can post anywhere in the world with a postal system. All buttons and many other products (stitchmarkers, earrings, necklaces etc.) are slim enough to post letter rate, making delivery costs very reasonable wherever you live.
What happens if my parcel doesn't turn up?
Even though most of my envelopes are sent untracked it is incredibly rare for one to go astray. If that happens I will re-send your items after a negotiated period (generally the post target times plus a few days just in case).
How is your jewellery packaged? Is it suitable to give as a gift?
Jewellery is packaged ready to give as a gift. A silver polishing cloth accompanies each piece of real silver jewellery.
I have sensitive ears, will your earrings be OK for me?
I also have sensitive ears, so I appreciate how hit and miss buying jewellery can be. I avoid the common allergen, nickel, in all of my products. I only use .925 sterling silver ear wires, which suit the majority of wearers. If you have more specific requirements, then please feel free to source your own hypo-allergenic findings and post them to me for fitting to your earrings.
Do you make clip-on earrings?
Yes, most of my designs can be made with comfortable clip-on earring findings. Please contact me to discuss the earrings you would like to have made as clip-ons.
